Police charge victim's nephew in Gatineau homicide

Gatineau Police have made an arrest in the murder of 58-year-old Yvon Normand who was found dead in his Gatineau home late last year.

Forty-year-old Richard Bisson, Normand's nephew, has been charged with second degree murder.  Police say Bisson was working on renovations to his uncle's house at the time of Normand's death.

Inspector Marc Leduc says Bisson was arrested Tuesday, and a SWAT team was deployed to make the arrest.  He says Bisson had been co-operative with the investigation prior to his arrest.  Leduc couldn't comment on a motive, or what made

Bisson, who appeared in court Wednesday afternoon, has a history of break-and-enter charges.  His next court appearance is scheduled for June 19.

Normand was found dead in his home November 11, 2013.  His death was Gatineau's fifth and last homicide that year.
