NCC works to revamp LeBreton Flats

The National Capital Commission is working on a plan to spruce up LeBreton Flats.

The plan would see the area across from the Canadian War Museum revamped into a park.

Mario Tremblay with the NCC told CFRA they want to install features to make people want to visit LeBreton.

"[That includes] such ideas as installing benches, public benches, trees, maybe some infrastructure for cyclists, amenities for pedestrians and cyclists, flower beds," he said.

The NCC is holding public consultations on the design plan - including one on June 4th.

They hope to award a contract for the project in September or October.
