Victoria Day Open and Closed

A list of what is open and closed on Victoria Day:

WHAT'S OPEN

  • The Rideau Centre will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Most businesses in the Byward Market will be open.
  • The 24-hour Metro on Rideau Street will be open.
  • Shoppers Drug Mart stores will be open.
  • Mac's Convenience stores will be open.
  • Herb & Spice grocery stores will be open.
  • Some pools and fitness centers will be open. Specific details can be found on ottawa.ca
  • The City's 311 contact centre will be open for urgent matters requiring the City's immediate attention.

WHAT'S CLOSED

  • LCBOs and Beer Stores will be closed.
  • Grocery stores will be closed, with the exception of those listed above.
  • Banks will be closed.
  • Shopping malls, with the exception of the Rideau Centre will be closed.
  • City Hall and Client Service Centres will be closed.
  • Provincial Courts will be closed.
  • The Trail Waste Facility will be closed.
  • City-operated Child Care Centres will be closed.
  • All branches of the Ottawa Public Library will be closed.
  • City of Ottawa Archives, arts centres, galleries, theatres and museums will be closed.
  • The Ottawa Public Health Information Line and Aids-Sexual Health Info Line will be closed
  • The Sexual Health Centre and Satellite Clinics will be Closed
  • The SITE office at 179 Clarence Street will be closed on Victoria Day; however, the SITE mobile van will be operating on a regular schedule from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • Dental Clinics will be closed.
  • The Well Baby Drop-in will be closed.

OC Transpo will be operating on a Sunday schedule on Victoria Day. OC Transpo sales centers will be closed, with the exception of the one at the Rideau Centre, which will be open during the mall's holiday hours.

All normal parking restrictions and regulations in the city will apply on Victoria Day.

There will be no green bin, recycling, or garbage collection on Victoria Day. Monday's pick-up will happen Tuesday, and all other waste collection will be delayed by one day for the week of May 19th.
