A Gatineau man won't be driving for the next three months, after he was caught speeding on Highway 5, near the Highway 50/Maisonneuve Boulevard exit.
Sûreté du Québec say the 31-year old was going 105 km/h in the 70 km/h zone around 11:30 Monday morning.
When the driver spotted police, a can was thrown out the passenger-side window of the car.
The driver was pulled over and arrested about 1 kilometer away.
His license has been suspended for 90 days, he's facing $690 in fines, and three demerit points have been added to his driving record.
He'll be in court in August. He could be facing a charge of impaired driving.
