Bail hearing dates could be set Wednesday afternoon for Christopher Gobin, the 18-year-old Orleans man charged with first-degree murder in his mother's death.
Gobin is due to appear by video and it's expected his father Jacques will be present as he continues to lend support to his son.
Jacques Gobin has vowed to continue to visit his son in jail and support him through the court process.
Gobin was arrested hours after his mother Luce Lavertu was found dead in the family home in Avalon one day shy of a month ago.
The 18-year-old has suffered from mental illness and it's likely a judge will order a psychiatric evaluation at the outset of any hearings in the matter.
