Charges laid in pair of south end robberies

Ottawa police say tips from the public have led to an arrest in connection with two robberies in the south end earlier this month.

On May 15, a man armed with a knife took some cash from a convenience store in North Gower.

Five days later, the same suspect hit a convenience store in Osgoode.

Dean Wright, 47, of The Nation Municipality, which is east of Ottawa, is charged with two counts each of robbery, wearing a disguise and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
