Ottawa man charged with sex assaults on bike paths

Ottawa Police say an Ottawa man is facing charges of sexual assault in connection with a series of incidents along bike and walking paths in the New Edinburgh and North River Roads area Saturday morning.

Police have charged Gavin Sean Griffiths with three counts of sexual assault, two counts of mischief and one count of breach of probation.

Police are also looking for anyone else who may have come into contact with the suspect and not reported it. He's described as white, in his 20's, and was riding a bright yellow bicycle.

Griffiths has faced charges of sexual assault before.

Between April 14 and May 7, 2012 nine women reported a man approaching them from behind and pulling their pants down.

Griffiths was arrested and charged in May 2012, and pleaded guilty in court in February 2013.
