The 14th annual TELUS Motorcycle Ride for Dad kicks off Saturday morning.
The event starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Aviation Museum.
The parade route will travel west on Rockcliffe Parkway to Sussex Drive; then south to MacKenzie Avenue, and right onto Wellington Street. It continues onto the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway toward Island Park Drive.
The parade ends there and riders then have three route options for the rest of the 156-km poker run through the Ottawa Valley, including Osgoode, Kemptville, Merrickville, and Smiths Falls before heading back to Ottawa.
Organizers say over 2,000 riders, hoping to raise $375,000 for prostate cancer research and treatment will take part in the event.
The Ottawa ride is the largest in the country.
