50-year-old hurt in paragliding accident in Pontiac

MRC des Collines police say a man in his 50s is in serious condition after a paragliding accident.

Emergency crews were called to an area on Crégheur Street in the Pontiac around 1:45 p.m. Sunday, after the man apparently lost control of his paraglider and ended up in the hills.

He was in a difficult area to reach, but he was eventually rescued and taken to hospital.

Police say the man was paragliding with a group of people as part of a course offered by a school in Gatineau.
