Police investigate Sandy Hill sex assault

Ottawa Police are looking into another case of sexual assault in the city.

Police say this one took place in the Sandy Hill area around 1:17 a.m. Saturday.

A woman in her early twenties was walking on Templeton Street, near Sweetland Avenue, when she was grabbed from behind by a stranger and sexually assaulted.

A nearby man in his early twenties saw the attack and came to the victim's aid.

The suspect fled in the direction of the University of Ottawa.

He's being described as Middle Eastern man in his mid to late twenties, medium build, 6'0" tall, and 180 pounds.

He was wearing a collared, white shirt, and jeans.

The suspect had short dark hair and a slight growth of facial hair, he also smelled strongly of cologne.
