Councillors available for classmates of slain Grade 12 student

School board representatives say the hallways are quiet at St. Patrick's High School today, where Brandon Volpi was a Grade 12 student.

Volpi was stabbed to death outside a prom party in downtown Ottawa Saturday morning.

Students placed of him on his locker and added to memorials at the school.  Grieving students have access to psychologists and school councillors, and there are quiet classrooms set up for students who need them.  The school board says the school will hold a private memorial for Brandon soon.

Constable Chuck Benoit says several witnesses are being interviewed in what he says could be a long investigation process.  Benoit said all witnesses are co-operating.
