Family confirms body found in Ottawa River belonged to missing boater: CTV

CTV Ottawa is reporting the family of missing boater Misha Novikov says police have told them the 24-year-old's body was found in the Ottawa River Tuesday morning.

A rower reportedly made the discovery east of the Alexandra Bridge near the Hull Marina.

Witnesses say a dinghy, carrying two men, capsized in the Deschenes Rapids around 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 1.

Gatineau firefighters were able to rescue one of the boaters, who was wearing a life jacket; the second man was not.
