Autopsy on body found in Gatineau River inconclusive

Police in Cantley are still trying to determine the cause of death and identity of the man whose body was found in the Gatineau River one week ago.

A Hydro-Québec worker made the discovery just after 7 a.m. last Wednesday.

MRC des Collines Police say an autopsy conducted in Montreal on the body was inconclusive, although it did determine the man suffered no injuries.

They are still awaiting the results of a toxicology test.

Police are now comparing the man's photo with their missing persons list.
