The Ministry of Labour is investigating after a 51-year-old man's fingers were crushed between a dumpster and garbage compactor at the Sir Richard Scott Building on Laurier.

Paramedics were called to the scene around 6:15 Friday morning, where they found the man suffering from serious crush injuries to his right hand.

He was taken to hospital in stable condition, where he is scheduled to undergo plastic surgery.
