Ottawa police have charged a 31-year-old man with human trafficking.
Ricardo Spence was arrested Wednesday by the Repeat Offender Provincial Enforcement Squad.
The charges stem from a complaint filed last September; the police force had issued a warrant for his arrest at that time.
Spence is also charged with financial/material benefit of human trafficking, withholding documents, forcible confinement, assault, assault with a weapon or imitation weapon, uttering threats and failure to comply.
Police believe there could be more victims and are asking them or anyone with information to come forward.
