The Rideau Valley Conservation Authority is set to revitalize the Brewer Park Pond.
Jennifer Lamoureux, with the RVCA told CFRA the goal is to link it back up with the Rideau River.
"We're looking to reconnect it with a culvert so that we can maintain the pathway around for the community to continue to walk around the pond and then we're looking to put in some habitat features within the pond itself," she said. "We're actually targeting Muskie and Northern Pike and the other 45 fish within the Rideau River to improve and enhance the fish habitat within the pond itself and adjacent to the river."
She said they would also be creating habitats for birds, turtles and other amphibians.
Work will take place over a two-month period starting in August. There will be a tree-planting ceremony in October.
