Carp boil water advisory lifted

CFRA News staff

The boil water advisory for Carp has been lifted and Ottawa Public Health said the water is now safe for consumption.

They initially put the advisory in place because of a water main break.

Public Health says system repairs can disturb sediments in the water main pipes - you may see reddish brown or yellow coloured tap water but officials say it's not harmful.

They're suggesting running the cold water tap for about one minute on first use.

Public Health says anyone on the communal well system does not need to have their water tested.
