Canadian Blood Services is issuing an urgent call for donors as we head into the summertime, a period where donations are low because regular donors take vacation.
They have a particular need for types O and A.
But the Canada Safety Council says more fatalities happen on our roads in these months and it can take up to 50 donors to save the life of one crash victim.
They're asking all eligible donors to consider booking an appointment this summer to give blood.
The Carling Avenue clinic is open 8:30a.m.-12:30p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday of next week, and from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, 1:30-7:30p.m. Thursday, and from 9a.m. to 1p.m. Saturday.
