Two teenaged girls charged in connection with fake bomb hoax on June 23

Ottawa Police report they have charged two 15-year-old girls from Ottawa with mischief, in connection with a fake bomb scare at the McDonalds at 99 Rideau Street.

A suspicious package made to look like an explosive device was discovered at the restaurant on the evening of Monday June 23.

Police had asked for the public's help in identifying and locating those responsible, releasing images of two young women recorded by store cameras at the time the package was found.
