Clara's Big Ride nearly complete with a stop in Arnprior

Olympian Clara Hughes has spent more than 100 days biking across Canada to help raise awareness for mental health initiatives and on Monday she will pay a visit to Arnprior ahead of her final stop in the capital.

Hughes will be joined by some special dignitaries.

Governor General David Johnston and Arnprior Mayor David Reid will cycle alongside the Olympian for the last 1.2 km of the 143 km of her trip from Deep River.

The trio will cycle from Elgin Street in Arnprior to Robert Simpson Park where they are expected to arrive at 5:30 p.m.

The Governor General will then take part in a special presentation to recognize Clara Hughes for her accomplishment.

The event is open to everyone and the public is being encouraged to line the street and cheer them on.

Clara's Big Ride for Bell Let's Talk wraps up on Canada Day with her final stop being Parliament Hill.
