Red light running and cycling safety will be the focus of the July Selective Traffic Enforcement Program.
Ottawa Police have already been cracking down on cyclist breaking the rules in weekend blitzes, handing out tickets and official warnings.
Now, they're spending the entire month enforcing the rules along with their partners on the Quebec side and with the OPP and RCMP.
They're also focussing on stopping drivers who run red lights. Between 2007 and 2011 18-hundred 75 people were injured in red-light running collisions.
