A 41-year-old fork-lift operator suffered a minor shoulder injury when a ceiling partially collapsed at a Hazeldean business.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene just after noon but a call for heavy rescue equipment was cancelled when it was clear no one was trapped.
Ottawa Fire said there was no one else in danger following the partial ceiling collapse at 5977 Hazeldean Road.
Crews were inside assessing the damage Wednesday afternoon but a spokesperson for Ottawa Fire said it appeared the partial collapse was caused by a forklift driving into a support beam.
Engineers will investigate the scope of the damage.
The Ministry of Labour is looking into the incident.
