CTV Ottawa and CTV Morning Live have undergone renovations, officially releasing Monday a new live set and their upgrade to high definition.
CTV News director Peter Angione tells CFRA News the transition to HD also includes an overhaul of their branding.
"You'll see a lot of our slogan 'Live. Local. Breaking.' because that's what viewers want to see. They've told us loud and clear that's what they wanted to see on all of our newscasts so, we're making sure we're as focused as possible on that and we have the latest technology available," he said.
He said listeners will be able to interact more closely with the news they consume through Facebook and Twitter during the live newscast.
"We're listening to what viewers want to see on the newscasts. It used to be where a lot of newscasts deliver what they thought viewers needed to know and I think nowadays, because of social media, we do listen to what people are talking about more," he said.
CTV Ottawa is owned by Bell Media, the parent company of 580 CFRA./
