There was a small delay Tuesday afternoon at the Fallowfield level rail crossing when a waste management truck stopped just over the line at the crossing as a barrier came down to warn of an approaching train.
The barrier stopped atop the front of the truck. Neither was damaged.
The truck was far enough back that it was safe while the train passed and a VIA Rail spokesperson says there was no danger and says this was not an issue with the signals.
The last time the City received a complaint about malfunctions at any VIA Rail level crossing was June 20.
