With summer in full swing the city's wading pools are hosting celebrations to draw crowds in the hopes of helping people keep cool this season.
There are 56 wading pools across the city of Ottawa and each will hold one special event this summer that will feature arts and crafts, sports and games from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Larger events will be held at six of the city's wading pools.
On Thursday, July 10 at Windsor Park there will be a featured performance by 8thGeneration and on Thursday, July 17 at Britannia Park entertainment from Grupo de Capoeira. They'll provide a Capoeira Demo and Workshop.
On Thursday, July 24 at Sylvia Holden Park, the former Lansdowne Park, Aboriginal Experiences will be the main entertainment.

On Thursday, August 7 at Weston Park check out the One Woman Circus Show and on Thursday, August 1 at Bellevue Manor Park there will be a featured performance by the Baobab Community's Rhythm Trek Camp.
These larger events will also include a free barbecue lunch between 1230 and 1:30 p.m.
