VIA Rail is offering refunds for passengers who were supposed to travel today between Toronto and Montreal.
A CN freight train derailed in Brockville this morning and it's still causing major disruptions. CN officials say 26 cars went off the tracks, but there are no leaks of any dangerous material.
VIA Rail is waiving service charges normally associated with refunds until 7 p.m.
Alternate transportation is being offered but it was expected that it could be difficult to get all of the necessary buses.

If you have a trip booked for Saturday, you are not eligible for a refund at this time.
Officials say they hope to have the tracks cleared as soon as possible, and additional information will be provided.
