The City of Ottawa says 91,290,000 litres of combined wastewater and storm water overflowed into local waterways following Tuesday's rainstorm.
We saw over 26mm of rain fall on Tuesday.
So far this year we've seen over 571 million litres of combined sewage overflows in the city. The bulk of that came on the 24th of June, when 55mm of rain helped push over 324 million litres of wastewater into local waterways.
The city says 213 million litres of overflows ended up in city waterways between April and November, 2013.
