Couple accused of sexually assaulting teens back in court in 2 weeks

The couple accused of sexually assaulting two 16-year-old girls over the May long weekend are to return to court in two weeks.

Caroline Budd, 20 and Anthony Comunale, 31, were represented by designates in court on Monday for their latest appearance.

The two were released on bail on June 27th on strict conditions.

They are not allowed to speak to each other or either of the victims, and they must follow a strict curfew.

The judge said that they are not a threat to society.

Police allege the couple held two 16-year-old girls against their will at Budd's house, assaulting them with a ruler and a sex toy.

They're each charged with two counts of sexual assault, assault with a weapon, and forcible confinement.

I'd love to hear the logic of why they were considered "not a risk" and released??? I've heard of people being held for less. That's messed up.
