Teen likely to face impaired driving charges after Saturday accident

An 18-year-old man is likely facing charges for driving while impaired after a car crash left himself and two teenagers with minor injuries saturday morning, according to MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais police.

Police say the three young men, aged 18, 16, and 15, had allegedly spent the evening consuming alcohol and drugs on board the Wakefield Raft in the Ottawa River before getting inside the vehicle.

They say the 18-year-old driver likely cost consciousness behind the wheel and ended up on the soulder of the road in La Pêche, QC.

Blood tests are being done before any charges are laid.
