Alleged CRA Heartbleed Bug hacker to appear in court

The alleged Heartbleed Bug Hacker is set to appear in an Ottawa courtroom today.

The 19-year-old from London was arrested in April, after he allegedly used the bug to break into the Canada Revenue Agency website and gain access to the social insurance numbers of 900 taxpayers.

At the time, the CRA was forced to temporarily shutter public access to parts of its websites over the security concern.

Stephen Arthuro Solis-Reyes was arrested withouth incide on April 15th and charged with one count of unauthorized use of a computer and one count of mischief in relation to data.
