People gather at Dutch Embassy to remember victims of MH17

A few dozen people gathered at the Dutch Embassy in Ottawa Saturday morning, taking part in a memorial and vigil remembering the victims of the downed Malaysian flight.

People gathered, including children, writing messages of condolences to families of the victims. They also laid flowers and candles.

Reports say some people walked with black flags from the Dutch Embassy to the Russian Embassy in protest.

The plane was shot down over eastern Ukraine on Thursday, killing all 298 people aboard, including one Canadian.

The West blames pro-Russian rebels.
