Hot on the heels of the Ottawa REDBLACKS' home opener at TD Place, the Ottawa Fury FC are getting set for their home opener Sunday afternoon.
And while it was a great night for the REDBLACKS, with their win over the Toronto Argonauts, some fans weren't so happy. They complained of long lines at the concession stands, a lack of functional ATMs, and even a washroom put out of commission by construction debris.
CEO of the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group, Bernie Ashe, tells CTV Ottawa OSEG is working to improve the stadium experience.
"We're not there yet," Ashe says. "We had fans that didn't have a positive experience as it relates to food and beverage lines, and wait times for food, and those are things that we're taking responsibility for, and we're going to address."
Management says a drainage issue that kept one women's washroom out of service has been fixed for Sunday's Fury game, and temporary ATMs are being installed.
The game starts at 3:00 PM. Coverage can also be heard live on TSN 1200.
