Ottawa has been named the host of a prestigious conference.
The city will welcome the One Young World conference in 2016.
The event draws the best and brightest young entrepreneurs, business people, humanitarians and creators together to network and work on the problems of our day.
Jantine Van Kregten with Ottawa Tourism told CFRA's Madely in the Morning delegates from more than 190 countries will be coming to Ottawa for the conference.
"It brings almost 1,500 delegates from those 190 countries, young people who are active in their communities, who are making a difference," she said. "It's just a fantastic event."
The main summit will take place at the Ottawa Convention Centre
The One Young World conference is the most diverse event on the planet after the Olympic Games.
Ottawa beat out Hong Kong and Kobe, Japan to become the host city.
The UK-based not-for-profit was co-founded by Kate Robertson and David Jones in 2009.
