Horsdal Private shooting suspect in custody

Ottawa Police say the 31-year-old man wanted in a Crips-related shooting on Horsdal Private last week has turned himself in to police.

Mohamed Abdi Abdullahi is now in police custody and several firearm-related charges are pending.

Police launched their investigation into the shooting last Thursday, after officers were called to the scene on Horsdal Private, where they found a man in his 20s suffering from two gunshot wounds in his legs.

The victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say they have confirmed this case is not connected to three other recent shootings where men were shot in the legs.
