A disciplinary hearing is to begin Thursday for the doctor at the centre of a major health scare in Ottawa two years ago.
It's alleged that the staff at Dr. Christine Farazli's Carling Avenue clinic did not properly sterilize its equipment, exposing hundreds of patients to the risk of contracting Hepatitis or HIV.
Some 7,000 people who were patients at the clinic form 2002 through 2011 were contacted by Ottawa health officials.
No new cases of the diseases can be specifically tied to the clinic.
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario is also accusing Farazli of being rough and callous with patients, failing to provide patients with enough sedation to be comfortable, charging patients for a drug not administered or not needed, and failing to maintian proper records.
