Lunch with a side of sports at local soup kitchen

Players from three local sports teams will be serving up lunch at the Shepherds of Good Hope soup kitchen on Monday, starting at 11:15 a.m.

The event will include players from the Ottawa REDBLACKS, Fury and 67's and will also mark the launch of a special ticket promotion that will help benefit some of Ottawa's most vulnerable men and women.

Some tickets to the REDBLACKS game on August 15 and the Fury game on August 17 will be available a special price with a portion of the sales going to the Shepherds of Good Hope.

Every day over 1600 people come through the doors of the soup kitchen. Last year, 700,000 meals were served at the Shepherds of Good Hope.
