Ottawa Police are out monitoring the city's most dangerous intersections this week in a bid to make them safer.
First up was the corner of Woodroffe Avenue and West Hunt Club Road, which is the most dangerous intersection in Ottawa, according to a report out of City Hall.
Sgt. Mark Gatien says they were looking to see what could be done to alleviate some of the issues at the intersection, or at least enforce infractions.
"If we see somebody running a red light, we're going to go after them and we're going to give them a ticket, but we're also going to try and educate them on [...] how dangerous it is to run a red light — even though you might have been held up in traffic for a little while and you've gone through three or four cycles and, you know, you absolutely had to get through," he told CFRA.
Crossings along Hunt Club took up the first four spots on the top 10 list, and Gatien says they will be checking out other high traffic intersections as well.
