Rideau Centre back in business after power outage

The Rideau Centre will be open as usual Tuesday, after an unexpected power outage Monday.

The outage forced stores to shutter and even saw the mall cut off to pedestrians trying to access the Mackenzie King Bridge.

CTV Ottawa reports the power outage is not believed to be connected to the weather or ongoing construction at the mall, but equipment related.

Pedestrians were granted access to the mall early Tuesday morning and stores were scheduled to reopen at 9:30 a.m.
