As July comes to an end, a lot of people in Ottawa are wondering where summer went.
The temperature has fought to get to 20 the past few days, though we are expected to return to more seasonal temperatures on Friday.
This has been the coldest July in five years in Ottawa as the average temperature has been below 20 degrees.
Environment Canada meteorologist Geoff Coulson tells CFRA it's due to the flow of the atmosphere with more air coming in from the west and northwest instead of the hotter American deep south.
Current forecast models suggest August won't be very hot either as Coulson says it isn't likely we'll see long stretches of 30-degree weather.
