VIA Rail service resumes following crash

VIA Rail trains got back on the tracks Saturday, after a crash on Friday.

Trains were cancelled on the Ottawa-Toronto and Montreal-Toronto lines on Friday after a collision near Gananoque.

A VIA train crashed into a CN Rail train that had derailed, causing minor injuries for one passenger.

VIA said that once service resumed there were still major delays as trains didn't get running again until 11 a.m. on Saturday.

The delayed schedule posted by VIA on Facebook included:

Train 61 (6:45) will be joined to Train 63 and leave at 10:10. Train 641 (6:40) will be joined to Train 643 and leave at 9:00. Train 50 (6:40) will be joined to Train 52 and leave at 9:25. Train 60 (6:40) will be joined to Train 62 and leave at 9:25
