With the civic holiday on Monday comes the usual closures of city facilities and some programs, as well as a change to OC Transpo routes.
Many grocery stores will be closed but all Ottawa shopping malls will be open, though on weekend hours.
City Hall and all seven Client Service Centres will be closed for Colonel By Day but 3-1-1 services will be open for urgent matters.
All curbside garbage, recycling and green bin collection will be shifted to Tuesday. That means pick-up will be delayed for everyone by one day all week.
OC Transpo will run on a Sunday schedule and while some pools and fitness centres will be open many will have different schedules and some class cancellations.
Residents are asked to go online to check out their program's schedules if they normally have a program on Monday.
The City Hall Art Gallery and Ottawa Art Gallery will be open but all branches of the Ottawa Public Library will be closed.
Nearly 400 LCBO stores across the province will be open as well as select Beer Stores.
