Construction worker assaulted with bat in Gatineau

Gatineau Police are searching for three men in relation to an assault that took place last night against a construction worker on Highway 50.

Police were called to the corner of St-Louis and the westbound Highway 50 after 10 p.m., where they found a 24-year-old man suffering from minor injuries.

It's alleged that three men pulled up to the closed entrance to the highway in an orange 4-door Pontiac Vibe. Two of them got out and beat him with a baseball bat.

Sgt. Pierre Lanthier with Gatineau Police told CFRA the victim is a worker with MTS Signalisation. He was blocking access to the highway as part of ongoing construction.

The man did not know his attackers.

The driver of the car is described as a white portly man in his 20s.

The other two suspects are described as white, in their 20s, standing between 5'9" and 5'11" and weighing around 160 lbs.
