At the request of the family, the 65-year-old's name is not being made public. He died choking on food while at a campfire on Saturday night.

Then early Sunday morning, 24-year-old Amanda Tessier of Gatineau fell 10 metres down an embankment, trying to save her 20-year-old male friend who had fallen first.

Amanda died in the fall; the male suffered internal injuries. The two were camping in the area.
