Suspect sought in Richmond Road convenience store robbery

Ottawa Police are trying to track down a suspect wanted in connection with a convenience store robbery near Lincoln Fields Shopping Centre.

Around 1:45 a.m. on July 20, a man walked into the shop on Richmond Road near Croydon Avenue and asked for cigarettes; when it came time to pay for them, the suspect demanded money from the clerk.

The man fled the scene empty-handed, though.

The suspect is white, about 50 years old, 5-foot-6, of medium build and balding; he was wearing a white button-down shirt at the time.
