Two U of O hockey players charged with sexual assault

Two members of the University of Ottawa hockey team have been charged with sexual assault, following a hockey game in Thunder Bay in early February.

24 year old Guillaume Donovan and 25 year old David Fourcher, both of Gatineau, were charged here in Ottawa.

They've been released, and are due to appear in court in Thunder Bay on September 30th.

Thunder Bay police say the victim is a 21 year old woman, and the alleged assault took place in the hotel in which the team was staying.

When word of the investigation became public, University officials suspended the entire hockey team.

The university has since dismissed the team's coach, saying he didn't alert the administration about the allegations.
