Ottawa Fire was on scene Sunday morning of what remains of a bungalow that caught fire earlier that morning.
Crews attended the call around 5 a.m. Sunday for the home on Roger Stevens Drive between Dwyer Hill and Malakoff near North Gower after a firefighter who was on his way to work spotted the blaze.
The home was fully engulfed and crews were forced to go on the defensive, battling the blaze from outside.
It took crews around two hours to put out the fire that left $400,000 in damage.
No one was inside the home at the time of the fire and no injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
