A high-end Ottawa department store is closing its doors.
Holt Renfrew will shutter its Sparks Street location at the end of January, according to a corporate news release.
Seventy-two employees of the luxury retailer will lose their jobs.
Holt Renfrew President Mark Derbyshire says it was a tough call to leave Ottawa; the company says it's decided to concentrate on its "flagship markets" which include Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary.
Holt Renfrew is also closing its store in Quebec City.
