Boil water advisory for Buckingham, Masson-Angers partially lifted

A boil water advisory affecting residents in Buckingham and Masson-Angers has been partially lifted.

However, the City of Gatineau said Sunday a preventive boil water advisory remains in effect for residents living east of La Lièvre river and north of rue Lépine.

In a statement, the City of Gatineau says the residents affected by the partial preventive boil water advisory are asked to:

  • open all cold water taps and let the water run for one minute or until it is cold before using it, and do the same with the water fountains, and
  • throw out any ice that was made while the boil water advisory was in effect.

The advisory was issued Friday as a result of a chlorination problem at the water treatment plant.
