Ottawa's students raising money for cystic fibrosis during annual fundraiser

With University and Colleges heading back to class this week, the annual Canadian Federation of Students' Shinerama is well under way.

Students at both Carleton University and the University of Ottawa are collecting money for cystic fibrosis, the most common fatal disease among Canadian youths.

Dapo Omiyale, a University of Ottawa student, is collecting money in the Byward Market with his team.  He says between 6 and 10 a.m. Tuesday the group had already raised $300.

He says last year the University of Ottawa raised $75,000 and are hoping to top that this year.
