Ashbury opens new creative learning centre

Ashbury College opened a new Creative Learning Centre on its campus Wednesday, the first day back to class for the school’s 680 students in Grades 4 to 12.

Ashbury's head of school Norman Southward tells CFRA the building features new music studios, visual art studios,

"We feel that arts is an often underfunded component in school budgets and we've decided to ensure that it has a rightful place within our school community," he said.

Southward says the building won't mean any new classes are introduced, but will rather enhance existing music and arts programs.
